Will We Ever Go Back?

Will We Ever Go Back to the Way Things Were?

I hope everyone is finding peace in our new normal. My children are getting cabin fever, and a little frustrated with distance learning. They miss their friends. I reminded them yesterday how fortunate we are. People are losing their lives and livelihoods.

This is a temporary challenge we are facing. However, I do believe our lives will change as a result of this experience. I see more compassion and understanding, we know we are all in this together. It has never been more evident that we all breathe the same air.

On the practical side, we will do more remotely. We can’t put the genie back in the bottle on balancing our work and home lives. Most of us have children and all of us have families. We need to find new ways to be productive without sacrificing taking care of those who are closest to us.

And finally, one of my favorite subjects – innovation. The incredibly creative ways we’ve refocused and repurposed to meet the needs of our medical community is nothing short of inspiring. Wow! From sewing or repairing masks on personal sewing machines and 3D printers to large companies now making ventilators and hand sanitizer. This is ingenuity.
