It was about a month before my son’s high school graduation when he gave me one of the biggest surprises of my life. I’m not easy to surprise but this was a good one!
Alex told me he wanted to take my name – in addition to his dad’s – and to have both on his diploma.
He wanted to make it official before his high school graduation so he could be announced at the ceremony with his new name. Wow!
He’s an athlete, artist, scholar, and super-kind human being. Thank you for allowing me to share how proud I am of him.
