In May 2000, I had the honor of walking across a stage for the first time.

I earned an MBA, without finishing high school or college, from the Loyola University Maryland Sellinger School of Business and Management.

It wasn’t a tough call to drop out – there were days I had to choose between food, gas and rent…but the dream never died. A dozen years later I sat in front of John Moran and Manette Frese and asked them to take a chance on me.

How many schools are willing to see potential in someone who has not had a path to opportunity?

Every day I am grateful to Loyola…so imagine my joy in taking my children for a tour!

I tried to not influence their perspective, but I am happy they are considering this great school.

Also…the tour guide? Phenomenal.
